What this site collects
Information you send me
If you use the contact form, I collect your name, your email address, the description of the problem you send, and, where you choose to give them, your company name, an indicative budget range and a preferred engagement type. A phone number is never requested.
Technical information
The hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested, which typically include an IP address, the page requested, a timestamp and browser details. These are generated by the hosting platform rather than by this site.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. If that changes, I will update this notice first.
Why I use it, and the lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and to discuss potential work. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To keep a record of business enquiries and correspondence. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To keep the site available and secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
I do not add your details to marketing lists, and I do not sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.
Who else sees it
Personal data is processed by the website host, an email delivery provider that sends contact form submissions to me, and an email forwarding service, all acting on my instructions. Some of them process data in the United States. I disclose it to anyone else only where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some providers operate outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. [Confirm per provider before launch]
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for [retention period to be confirmed] and then deleted. Where an enquiry leads to an engagement, records are kept for as long as needed for that work and for the periods required by tax and company law afterwards.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, or object to it being used. You can also ask for it in a portable format. To make a request, email hello@baileywildash.com.
If you are not happy with how a request is handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I would rather you raised it with me first so I can try to put it right.
